Mausoleum Shakh-Fazil

The Shakh-Fazil archaeological complex is located in the  Jalal-Abad Province  of  Kyrgyzstan. It is a sacred Muslim site, and an annual mass  pilgrimage   occurs here.
The collection of sites is made up of the Shakh Fazil  Mausoleum , Safid Bulend Mausoleum, the holy mountain of Archa Mazar, Alamberdar Mausoleum, holy hermit's cave, a XVII-th – XIX-th Century  Mosque, and vertical stone  phallos.

The mausoleum of Shakh Fazil, the most important site in the collection, is unique in its own right and stands apart from other  Karakhanid - era mausoleum.

The village of Safid-Bulen. Central Dome composition; overlap - a system of successive transitions from square to octagonal prisms and from them to a slender ogive dome. From the outside - no decorated brick masonry and the interior - the richest decoration: ganch fill borders, scalloped arches archivolt, circular and rectangular car-carcass band inscriptions.

Style thread like engraving on metal, a combination of small ornaments girihi, stylized floral wreath, the inscription flowering Kufi. Near the mausoleum - extension XVIII - XIX centuries. Which is interesting for avian shaped wooden columns.
